As a result of the move, you may notice things sound a bit different. My new ‘studio’ is in the quietest part of my flat, which happens to be the basement bathroom. Hopefully this change of acoustics won’t affect your enjoyment of the podcast. Recording in a new location certainly has its challenges. Especially if the kids from the flat upstairs run down the stairs above me.
Case no. 149 is called The Hoarder, and it’s another one of those cases where the lines are blurred. This could be an extreme supernatural encounter, or an extreme mental delusion.
I won’t give away any spoilers for the story. But I will at least say that the subject is doing much better now. One of the interesting things that many people who have experienced a breakdown will tell you is that it ultimately had a positive impact on their life. They had to reach a crisis before they could face their problems and turn things around.
It’s not a wellness strategy anyone would recommend; it’s not an easy journey to come through. Sadly, it’s still too difficult for most of us to talk about our darker experiences. We worry too much about being judged. And this stigma may be a far greater risk to more people than the supernatural ever will be.
