Life would be much easier if we could really talk honestly with each other about how we feel and what we experience.
It’s hard not to listen to this tragic case without wondering what might have occurred if the people involved had been more able to communicate with each other.
It’s obvious that, despite their faults and sometimes unkind words, that these are people who care for each other and who want the best for each other. And yet, the way they respond to warning signs is to make jokes and to gossip.
I’d like to say it would be different with me; that I’d be a better person and confront these issues head on. But I’m not sure.
It’s truly tragic that we’re not able to talk about big issues. Especially when they can be literally a matter of life and death.
Sadly, the time to talk, is almost always when it’s too late.
